Still Not Won
Get me into sunshine
Get me in today
I’ve grown out of my feeling
No light upon my way
Can someone throw a quarter in this broke machine
A little bit affection
If you know what I mean
Now I can’t say I’m won
I can’t say “I do”
We are losing touch everyday
Lost in a haze, what’s in a name
I want to go, don’t want to feel
The more I go, the less I feel
Just like in space
Drifting out of order
Out of place
Bodies full of dirt, sir
Some even wear a tie
What’s in your little kingdom
Why are you all dressed in white
Are we just getting older
To find out what’s beneath?
I can’t even tell one story
From all the books I read
Now I can’t say I’m won
I can’t say “I do”
We are losing touch everyday
Lost in a haze, what’s in a name
I want to go, don’t want to feel
The more I go, the less I feel
Just like in space
Drifting out of order
Out of place
So if you know what it’s like
Yeah, if you know what it’s like
I wanna show you somehing here
Just to show you what it's like
Could you give this all a name
Would you be coming back again
This all sounds way too much like space
Out of order
Out of place

Giving Up On Everyone

Giving Up On Everyone
What you wanna feel like
Who you wanna be with
Heard you’ve given up on everyone
And who you’re gonna blame girl
Mlamin’ on the whole world
Blamin‘ on a world
That you’ve been learning to embrace
Before it fell from grace
And who you’re gonna turn to
When they disappoint you
When you’ve reached the point of no return again
Now, where’s the sense in that
So, who you’re gonna blame girl
Blamin’ on the whole world
Don’t blame it on the boy you never dared to kiss
He ain’t hard to miss
When someone stutters “I love you”
Don’t blow it
Don’t blow it
I think I heard him say
“Please, don’t walk away”

First Day At School
Has someone seen my son
He was wearing his best suit
As he left the house this morning
On his first day back to school
He was happy to go seeing his classmates back again
Now I just heard a story I’m afraid of to believe
This is just a small town
That’s got none to do with evil
They called me up at work, early this afternoon
I don’t know anything ‘bout politics
I owe you nothing
What’s the point of this
If there is a reason, I’m sure you’re gonna tell
Well, you say your aim is holy
And it’s making the means well
Come on then, if this is how you’re aiming
Picking on the ones that are too small to defend
Can’t you take it like a man
Cause I’m not leaving ‘till you’re leaving
Now they’re reading out the names that’s become an endless list
And the smell is getting worse
And still the other halve is missed
And the camera’s are rolling so it’s for the world to see
We’re gonna dig this hole for two and another one for three
And all the doors are left wide-open so the wining’s on the streets
And it’s gonna take some time before it’s quiet in the streets
I don’t know anything ‘bout politics
I owe you nothing
What’s the point of this
If there is a reason that I’m sure you’re gonna tell
Well, you say your aim is holy
And it’s making the means well
Come on then, if this is how you’re aiming
Picking on the ones that are too small to defend
Can’t you take it like a man
Cause I’m not leaving until you’re leaving
